Bill Lewis, President

Bill Lewis grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and was Salutatorian of Memphis University School. He graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Baylor University in 1984. He earned his M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana, studying under Dr. Larry Crabb.
While in graduate school, Bill met his wife, Lynn, who grew up in Southern California. Lynn graduated summa cum laude from California Lutheran University. She also earned an M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary.
In 1989, God called Bill to pray daily for revival in the Body of Christ, and for a spiritual awakening among the lost. The Lord responded by leading Bill and Lynn to move to Russia as missionaries in 1991. Bill was ordained by the Evangelical Church Alliance in 1991. Bill and Lynn lived in St. Petersburg, Russia for seven years, serving on staff with Church Resource Ministries.
While living in Russia, Bill began to experience a burden for the Jewish people, and for the Church to understand its calling to bless Israel. In 1999 Bill founded Sons of Issachar Ministries, and the family moved to Haifa, Israel. They lived there for over two years.
What Bill initially believed was a “crisis call” to intercession for the 2000 American Presidential Election turned into a supernatural redirect from the Lord to return to the United States. The Lewis family has lived in the Washington, DC area since June 2002. The Lewises have four children, Joshua (18), Justin (15), Abigail (9), and Grace (7).
