Student Prayer Request: “My anxiety and depression”
SOI 21 ON CAMPUS: THINK 1-2-3!
1. Prayer Table: Weekly
What’s the Prayer Table? Literally just that, a table with a box for collecting prayer requests and a sign that reads, “Want Prayer?” Students can come forward, share their requests, and leave a slip of paper with their prayer requests in the box. Think prayer is just reaching the Christian students? Think again! The Prayer Table has become Prayer Evangelism—connecting the power of God and the love of God at the point of perceived need in the lives of unbelievers. Not only have religious skeptics, nominal Catholics and Protestants, Muslims, and Jews asked us to pray for them, but our weekly, visible presence on the campuses has also created opportunities to build relationships with these students.
2. Jubilee Prayer & Worship: Monthly
Jubilee is an open-ended prayer and worship gathering jointly organized and hosted by various Christian groups on campus. The event weaves together worship and intercession for Revival and Spiritual Awakening in a spontaneous, free-flowing manner. The worship band, prayer leaders, and participants are comprised of students from the different groups. Jubilee is a great opportunity for all the Christian groups to come together in unity to worship the Lord and cry out to Him with one voice for their campus.
3. 24/1 Prayer: Every Semester
24/1? What’s that? Twenty-four hours of continuous prayer for Revival and Spiritual Awakening. Once every semester SOI 21 rallies other campus ministries to co-sponsor a day of 24-hour prayer. Typically, students gather to fast and pray around the clock during eight three-hour prayer watches. In addition to corporate worship and prayer, students can visit prayer stations where they can confess sin, write letters to God, pray for dorms and other students, and intercede for the nations of the earth. Afterwards all the ministries involved celebrate their unity in Christ with a “Love Feast.”
Think 1-2-3: Currently SOI 21 is on three campuses in the Washington, DC area:
- The George Washington University
- American University

What’s it all about?
SOI 21 is devoted to calling forth sons and daughters of Issachar for this 21st century. A generation of young men and women who “understand the times and know what to do.” (I Chronicles 12:32) Who grasp the stakes in this hour for the Church, for America, and for Western Civilization. Who are impassioned to give all they’ve got to battle for Revival and Spiritual Awakening, Reformation and Transformation.
A generation of fierce lovers and tender warriors hungry to embrace covenant with God and one another in order to impact our nation and the world as they’ve never been impacted before.
A generation devoted to 24/7 prayer communities (the Tent of Meeting) that are catalyzed by dynamic relationships with the Lord and each other.
A generation sold out to obedience to the two Great Commandments: to love the Lord with all our hearts and to love one another as ourselves.
A generation longing for a Reformation greater than that of the 16th century and a 1st-century outpouring of the Holy Spirit in a 21st-century world.

Millennials Rising
“Generation Y.” “The Mosaics.” “Generation ‘We.’” “The Millennial Generation.” All names proposed to identify Americans born between 1982-2002, the age-cohort just now beginning to come of age in our nation. I prefer to call this new generation the “Millennials,” as they will rise to adulthood, influence, and prominence in the first few decades of this new millennium. By whatever name they… Read More
